Great shot Paul. It was Paul Tabor that counted 17 Hawfinches; about 9:00am I believe.

Yes i had 17 flyover at first light towards golf course tried to locate them but no sign, when i went back into the wood there were another 8 in tree tops by the white house can't be 100% certain if these were part of the 17 that flew over 5 minutes earlier even though i didn't see any fly back the 17 birds came from same direction as the 8, so could well have been a total of 25 birds. It's possible they are roosting in this area near the houses and then disperse as it gets light. You need to get there early if you gonna get a more accurate count.
